Verizon, AT&T say their networks have been hardened after attack by Salt Typhoon

Back in October, we blogged about Salt Typhoon. They were even mentioned in the worst breaches in 2024 we recently published.

Not much is known about the group, but back when the war that Russia started, we predicted that Russia and China were not to be trusted and I said as much in a public room on Clubhouse.

Do I think their networks are secure? That’s going to be up to the people who did the investigation and cleanup, not me.

We’ll see if anything is disclosed after these breaches and linked back to that attack, especially if it comes out later that they’re still within the network.
