Hello gang,
I read this article yesterday and also wrote an article, then promptly closed it. I guess I was tired, eh?
I always post my articles I write, maybe double click really wasn’t that interesting after all?
I still think it is, so I’m going to try this again and let’s see if i can get it posted.
This mainly affects those who are sighted, as sighted users need to use a mouse.
This malware, if we want to call it that, watches for on mouse down, a term in programming to signify a click.
The article talks about how when clicking a link, you could be prompted to solve a captcha or even a movie, and while getting that set up, you inadvertantly click a button to install this thing.
Clickjacking has been around for quite awhile, but the double click happens when trying to do something else and it closes the one window and gets you to do something else.
Clever! Eh?
When I first wrote this up, I took some of the paragraphs from the article and that’s all well and good. But on this day, instead of doing that, I think I’m going to try and summarize this as I have just done and invite you to read this.
The article is titled New DoubleClickjacking attack exploits double-clicks to hijack accounts if this is something you want to check out.
Thanks so much for listening and reading, and make it a great day!
