Its Window Update, the march edition

Well gang,

Its a rainy Friday and I must push forward. Between being out yesterday and a rainy day, Windows Update must be played.

There are 6 zero-days in the list and on the next upcoming tech podcast, we’ll talk about 2, because we want people to know some of why its a good idea to update.

What I’ll do after October, I don’t know. This machine has seen great days and has been very good to me.

Microsoft: 6 Zero-Days in March 2025 Patch Tuesday comes from Krebs On Security and of course there will be other articles out there that you’ll need to check out and find if you want.

Please stay safe!

  1. Well I am wandering about this to.
Searching google and on my descussion list one of them I am on at any rate has an article from pc world stating that the latest march win11 update has a shitload of crashes and issues.
Having insiders and the like you expect bugs but the critical errors that seem to appear to frequently are starting to get really fucking old, really fucking fast.
users including myself are not happy with this.
Now an article appearing in my top stories list about the fastest top of the range ryzen 9 9th gen cpu has its performance better on 10 than 11?
Even if thats just 1 case, why would I upgrade to a new and supposedly more secure system if my performance is better on the previous system?
Why would I upgrade if its known that there is a high chance of my system not booting after supposedly secure and bug free updates vs the posibility of being hacked into vs the likely possibility to be screwed over by the system devs.
I actually think a bunch of questions need to be asked in general of how we can accept a lot of stuff that shouldn’t happen.
I am getting close to upgrading to well win11.
I am seriously thinking of trying winlinux and am experimenting, now if I can get the thing to work or even start and if it will run speech and stuff with tthe windows theme and all my pc programs and licenced voices then I may actually move away from windows completely.
I’m not a dev or anything I’m just a user with some testing and sound design on the side that wants to use his box.
I’ve used linux before but I have invested in a bunch of programs and to be frankly honest this is getting really, really old really, really fast and in a hurry to.
If microsoft expect us users to take it seriously then they need to up their gain and in a real quick way.
So far I have found little reason to upgrade to win11.
copilot and its key, the bunch of stuff we appear to be forced onto like ms account at startt etc is just a turn off for me in general.
The fact we are forced into features justt really gets me.
And now, the real possibilitty of update issues and now proof from some benchmarks that win10 is faster just doesn’t give me the user confidence I am getting into shit creak and I have no desire.
Back when I was 20 and in my prime I’d probably jump at making it work and fiddling.

Well I am a middle aged man and I am past eating junk and past fiddling with my box.
I will update it and modify it to the latest but I want it to start and I want to play games and I want to enjoy my life.
II have no desire to fiddle about with the load of muther fucking shit ms or other devs seem fine to bundle me with especially after a supposedly stable security update.
I am really ranttingly angry and I really think others should put up a stink.
Ms may handle the pc market but how long that will run is a question.
How long before others catch up.
If I can get winlinux to work on this old win7 box with 3rd gen cpu then I am going to switch and ms will lose a user.
Even if I don’t win10 will be my go to system and fuck the conciquences.
Maybe just maybe I will try to force switch and hope I don’t have an issue but really this isn’t good.
Lets hope ms will again somehow stabelise their issue but with all the inside userbase in theory we shouldn’t even be talking about this at all.
