Windows update for windows 11 causes another blue screen error

Hello,

Well, it has been some time since we’ve blogged, but we’ll try to find things that might be of value. This is definitely of value since there may be Windows 11 folk who may have a blue screen error after installing updates this month.

This is the April 2025 cumulative updates for April that is affected and you will be rolled back automaticly by them through their processes.

If its not one thing with Microsoft and their updates, its another, and this is strange. You’d think by now that they would do everything possible to prevent this and this is only recent with 11 with some of these recent issues.

Microsoft warns of blue screen crashes caused by April updates is the article covering this if you need it.

Thanks so much for reading! Stay safe.

  1. Hi all.
You may have noticed I removed the ranty comment today.

Somehow microsoft have finally fixed this issue.
    My rant still applies.
There are to many errors generated.
With a supposedly full insider squad never mind the other checks supposedly in place a number of these malfunctions still hit the system.
I understand bugs continue but really win10 never had stuff like this.
With all the hype going on who knows.
Every time something happens we get hit by a confidence drop.
Mine is complettely gone for the upgrade to win11 which I was going to do next month.
Not happening now in fact my plan to replace a new system is again unlikely.
Windows 10 is more stable than windows 11 ever was and microsoft keep causing more things to not run which their insiders should have caught or whoever else does all the checks.
And my comment is still valid, if that issue appears, take it out till you can fix it.
Its been there for the last 3+ updates at least both optional and not.
For the remote systems I manage I have optional and cryticals checked because I rarely manage the system.
With a lot of older users some that can’t bring their units about, I rarely get a chance to update them more than once a year so the updates better work.
As it stands my plan is to hold on to windows 10 till its no longer fesable.
I don’t trust windows 11 to commit to it in the timeframe.
I am unsure if I will subscribe to extended support or not.
As it stands, I am quickly running out of time to even do anything.
With planned tuning of some of my plumbing next month followed with a bunch of things next year its likely to be next winter by the time I look at this again.
If microsoft haven’t got it right by then, then I will soldier on with what I have.
The users on my network like myself do simple things, web brousing, banking, gaming, video watching.
While we will like to be secure, I don’t think any of us want a fucking blue screen and all sorts of bum fuckery, including but not equal to rebuilds, reformats, etc just because we need to be secure.
Then with all the ai, I still think recall and all the ms retrieval of data things a bad idea.
The reason is that well lets face it, microsoft hasn’t had a good track reccord with anything.
So if we can’t get rid of it then its going to be a problem.
Most of this is forced on us and I will be trying to remove and or block as much ms ai control as I can simply for privacy reasons.
Of course I am interested if I can get ai working on my box but I am unsure how that would work completely.
Mind you we do use google and secured 2 step security on our systems and all sorts of stuff is stored in the cloud net so who knows.
I am happy that this is handled and will be watching this space.
My dad also uses a pin word to sign in and I will be watching that space to.
Seriously ms needs to go back to its base and have a system that works for its users.
I’d drop windows 11 entirely and keep with windows 10.
Heck I could even just continue with an xp interface and no apps at all.
Its been said we are doing dammage by staying wedded to our devices as it is.
But I am a pre borg guy and still have not found my place.
There are new interfaces but I have continued with the older ones for so long I see no reason to upgrade.
Let the newer gens get assimilated I’ll just sit here.
