Microsoft edge is a browser, but I am now learning that the Microsoft Authenticator will stop working in August.
While i didn’t see the initial story, according to the story I’m seeing now, those who are using the app have until July first to go ahead and get their passwords out of authenticator and in to Edge.
But if Edge works like any other browser, you have the option of filling in your passwords automaticly which these days could be doen by anyone who can get in to your machine.
So, my question is whether that’s really secure.
This is quite interesting to learn.
Feel free to sound off with thoughts.
Microsoft Authenticator now warns to export passwords before July cutoff is the article.
I would still use some type of authenticator. Lastpass has one and so does Google.
There may be others, but those are big ones that I know of.
We’ll see how this goes.
