Hi all.
This article on tech radar shows why you don’t use a single point for backup but multiples.
https://www.techradar.com/computing/windows/windows-11-user-has-30-years-of-irreplaceable-photos-and-work-locked-away-in-onedrive-and-microsofts-silence-is-deafening
It also shows and lets make it brootally clear, that there is another reason that microsoft accounts just don’t work.
Microsoft is pushing 1drive for backups.
We have loads of data, and yes I have mp3s here movies audio of stuff plenty of things.
Is it legal.
Do I look like I put recipts on everything?
What would constitute alegal?
I can tell you now that I didn’t get every bit of music or movie legally but how do you tell if what I have is legal or not on the system.
I have also brought a lot of that content.
Someone got locked out of their ms account by using 1drive as a single backup point which is a nono.
I had the same issue, I used an old system that had potential issue as a point to back stuff to.
It wasn’t going to be for to long but the drive died.
There were other coppies though and the data was restorable by a recovery person which the client knew.
However to be frank, microsoft has been pushing their backup service on 11 and their microsoft account.
Thats another reason why I will never have one for login or backup.
Microsoft is just adding pain after pain after pain.
The guy gets locked out of his account and bang no boot, no computer, no anything.
My responce will to go back to windows 10 where at least I know the computer will boot.
People are starting to shift in bits and pieces but there is serious issue with the system.
All chrome based brousers should be updated.
Microsoft has a graphics maker built into windows but really they have enough sillyness.
Things I think microsoft needs to do to get more users.
1. get rid of one drive as a backup service and the naggs for it.
We users don’t need this.
2. get of the microsoft account requirement.
A lot of us don’t care for it.
Anyway ms accounts bar some settings and some apps have almost no use to the average user.
3. get rid of bitlocker.
Again users at least home users have no use for it.
4. get rid of the silly high requirements for the system.
We are fine if we can’t use features x y and z.
Most of us just want to use our systems.
Now granted the new system can do all this new stuff and the os will get us into that and thats an insentive.
5. bring back the background programs page in settings and the show all systrey icons checkboxes.
6. restore the windows 7 start menu task bar and so on.
7. go back to an normal non ribbon interface for the shell.
and finally.
Continue to update 10 and leave us users out of your silly
windows 11 system because its obvious you can’t update the fucker with royally breaking it.
That or fix your issues or at least cut down on the bugs.
Now us users realise there are bugs but you seem to generate far to many of them to have us users like myself think windows 11 is stable.
And after you have cut out, stay out.
Better yet get rid of your ai, autopilot and its keyboard shortcut.
No one wants an dedicated key.
I haven’t needed the ai and anyway what is wrong with windows 10.
