Google has a feature for email clients who can’t understand two-factor which would be most of them.
They offer something called passwords for apps, otherwise known as app passwords.
Actors now are asking for the app passwords to get around the two-factor problem, and they’re succeeding.
I’ve never gotten n email asking for an app password, and I think I set up my account using my main password I use.
