Hi all.
A few bits for this week.
On windows front, windows latest update has broken the search feature in the system.
I have not seen this on any build but edge autolaunch at startup is back.
You can disable it in the usual way but kill the key and it returns.
At least you can make it not start but I’d prefer the extra key gone for tidyness but whatever.
Anyone on 360 subs will have security for 3 more years after which you don’t but no new features from next year.
Again I doubt this will effect many of us I mean sure I get the extra downloads but who knows.
Most of us blinks make and save word files or just read them.
I can’t remember the last time since I actually opened office to write something.
I could probably ditch the entire system if it weren’t for work related stuff appearing in the format.
Bar some performance doodles no major bugs or anything of real note has appeared on the os bar battery improvements and a bunch of misc things.
Of note this week is the first version of 7zip for this year and java 8.61, the first version for this year.
Little else is on the technical cards for this week bar chrome updates prompting the usual update to edge at the end of the week and a minor codecguide update.
As an addition to this article since I am just to lazy to make another, that edge update has just dropped as well as office updates.
There was also a zoom update I missed out on.
Bar the emoji search as above, parental control for everything bar edge doesn’t work because microsoft hasn’t updated the latest data lists on its servers.
There is also another asian language bug but again most of this doesn’t effect general users.
See the personal blog for the update on normal stuff.
