Here’s more on the Cpanel fiasco

Earlier, we put out a blog post titled: Cpanel is at it again … not fixing things unless pressured and I knew I found two articles.

The second article is titled Critrical cPanel flaw mass-exploited in “Sorry” ransomware attacks which goes in to detils about what this raansomware does and who it targets.

After we read and published the first article and its blog entry, the JRN reached out to our provider who said that we’re patched.

Do feel free to read more about the Sorry ransomware, as it does encrypt very well, and you must get the 2048 bit key, there’s not a valid decrypter you can get right now.

While there is a picture of the ransomware note, I am not sure who is behind this particular campaign. If its in the article, I may have missed it, that is a possibility.
