There is a new ransomware out there called Prinz Eugen.
This Ransomware group does not leave a note, and only seems to target those files that are recently used. No file is immune, although it seems that they’re looking for business files.
The group has three victims, although researchers indicate to Bleeping that there could be more out there.
The fact that no ransom note is left could really make this group very dangerous if they ever become successful.
If you are interested in this news, which I think you should be, please read the post from bleeping titled New Prinz Eugen ransomware prioritizes recent files for encryption.
It gives all of the details on how this works, the researchers involved, and what we should be looking for.
