Finally, something I can write that isn’t tech related with covid19.
In a blog post in February, Krebs on Security told a story about someone who baught a domain called corp.com. I decided at that time to not publish anything about it, as I thought it was interesting but yet didn’t know what to say about it.
Today, I spotted that Microsoft baught the domain, because the way Windows works, it resolved to this domain when leaving the corporate network when doing basic communication. The researcher saw so much data, he didn’t want his kids having this catastrophe.
That article indicated that he hoped that Microsoft would buy the domain for the asking price of 1.7 million dollars. The researcher notified Krebs on Security about the sale without giving any more detail.
