Addressing the community about changes to Reddit

As you know, the tech blog stands in solidarity with those who are forced to close their apps. $0.24 per 1,000 api calls is not bad, but when you have millions, and an app developer that says that its going to cost millions, you’ve got to start asking questions.

In this Reddit post I’ve recently read as I continue to catch up, it highlights the changes. Note that I’m not responsible for any of the comments, but the post looks sound.

I don’t know whether I honestly believe this or whether they’re bluffing. I guess as the weeks go on, we’ll see which side of the fence they’re going to be on.

While this is still 4 days old, we know at least 1 app that is closing because the pricing is way too high. Remember, the first article the JRN spotted said it was costing $12,000 per month minimum.
