More news coming from The Verge on Disabled users and protesting for Reddit

Why disabled users joined the Reddit blackout/ talks about the need for accessibility. No app is going to be 100 percent accessible, there are always bugs.

Reddit has shown that they really don’t care about accessibility as we go on our third day. Pricing something so high that nobody can afford it is going to “shut us completely out” and as I said on today’s program, does nobody any good.

In a recent article, it indicated that Reddit comes up when asking questions, but Quara (not sure of spelling) may be next in the access to information.

I don’t know how Quara works, but if they’re an API type of site, they could be. But whether you run on an API or not, Reddit and Google sort of match, just by Google just being there. And since the blind people can’t make the subreddit public anyway, these groups may never become public again unless there is sighted help or Reddit does it upon request.

This story is definitely going to get interesting as July comes closer.
