While I’m still behind on Mastodon, maybe it isn’t so bad. We’ve got some very interesting items, some of which are not too familiar to most of this readership including me.
While the top ipad free and iphone free apps are in different ordering methods as gotten, thiese lists are similar.
Here are the top iphone free apps to give you an idea of some of the surprise.
- 1. Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire
- 2. CapCut – Video Editor
- 3. Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies
- 4. Threads, an Instagram app
- 5. TikTok
- 6. Instagram
- 7. Google
- 8. YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream
- 9. WhatsApp Messenger
- 10. Gmail – Email by Google
Number 4 was shocking to the author just because Threads was released in July and it was supposed to be Twitter’s competator. But ever since Kim Komando predicted its demise, we’ve not heard much about it since its privacy policy article which linked it as one of the worst. It wasn’t the worst, but one of them.
If you didn’t see that blog post quoted there, maybe you didn’t see this blog post here titled Can you believe this? Tik Tok pleads its case in an interview where it says that it doesn’t share its data with China. So, to have it and Temu in this list should really not be surprising. Threads is also shocking because it was supposedly popular but yet it didn’t have any “new users!” (in quotes) All of its users were users of its sister service Instagram already.
As for Temu, Temu is now getting sued, Kim Komando called this one is one such article and blog post which should be viewed. I’ve not heard anything else on the subject.
And Temu being number 1 on iphone? This blog post tells you how bad it can really get. I believe in the Ipad list for free, Temu is 9th but I can post that list.
As I’ve said, some of these other apps are not too popular or unheard of in our community, so I’ll skip that one.
As for free general Ipad apps, here are the items from that list.
- 1. Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies
- 2. YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream
- 3. Netflix
- 4. Google Chrome
- 5. Disney+
- 6. Goodnotes 6
- 7. TikTok
- 8. Amazon Prime Video
- 9. Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire
- 10. Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies
As you can see, this may not necessarily be a good thing.
With that aid, I have submitted the following article through Kim Komando’s form so maybe she’ll cover this on a minute unless they want to discuss this with me on the show. We’ll just have to see.
The article I submitted where you can read more top stuff including games for both phone and pad and even arcade is: Apple unveils the most downloaded App Store apps and games of the year which may be interesting to some. Happy reading!
