2.9 billion users, National public data gained data illegally

National Public Data gained access to about 3 million customers, or so we think. There’s now a class action lawsuit filed where the company is blamed to have gotten the data illegally.

This company apparently scraped the data and that even included the dark web.

They apparently stored this data without anyone’s consent? Isn’t that fucking illegal?

They collected sensitive information including social security numbers, full names, mailing addresses, and even relative’s info.

What the hell was this fucking company doing with this data? Selling it, thinking they wouldn’t be caught?

The 2.9 billion matches the 3 billion over at Yahoo! Inc. when they ran Mail before Verizon baught them out.

While this is unconfirmed, this would be one of the biggest heists besides the Yahoo breach back in 2014 I believe it was.

which came from Tech Radar thanks to the Kim Komando newsletter for today.

This company is one of the worst pieces of shit I’ve ever heard of besides those we never dealbt with when it comes to buying, selling and whatever with our data.

This company aught to be ashamed of itself, and I hope they shut the fuck down.

Aweful!
