Jan-13-2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 13, 2012) – GW Micro, Inc. (www.gwmicro.com) announced a renaming challenge for its very popular and free program, GWSkype. GW Micro, developers of Window-Eyes, the most powerful screen reader available, released GWSkype last December – a program that is plugged into Skype™ and makes it accessible to all blind and visually impaired people who use a Windows computer. The free program was immediately embraced by blind and visually impaired people all around the world as it made Skype communication completely accessible and extremely easy to use.

To better comply with the SkypeKit developer terms of service, GW Micro has been asked to select a new name for GWSkype. This is your opportunity to help rename this exciting program. All names entered will be considered and GW Micro will select the best name for the GWSkype app based on your submissions. Any name suggestions that are made should not include the word “Skype” in order to comply with the SkypeKit developer terms of service. You can submit a new name for GWSkype by filling out the form at http://www.gwmicro.com/surveys/namechange. There is no limit on the amount of names you submit.

There is no purchase necessary to enter a name. The person who submits the selected name agrees that GW Micro will retain all ownership and rights to the name as well as any software the name is applied to, and that the person who submits the successful entry will have no ownership or rights for any software or intellectual property related to the name or software used in conjunction with the name. GW Micro retains the right to change the rules of participation without notice at any time and participants who submit names agree to rule changes that may occur.
