Sans News bites for April 9, 2024

Some of the items we’ve covered before or just recently.

At the top of the list, is the new data privacy act which I questioned. I found the article and it sounds great, but will it get adopted? Here is my blog post on that.

Also later in the news, they covered the 340k folk whose socials and other pieces of info may have been pilfered.

Also within the news, Home Depot did confirm their breach, and my blog post is here on that as well.

I don’t know why they didn’t cover the parental application which exposed children’s info and how it could be used later in whatever attackers may want to use them for. That blog post is here.

Speaking of federal data This blog post was the first I saw on the issue so we’ll see how it goes.
